Sometimes getting started can be a lot harder than you expect. At times I have found myself full of so many ideas that I wouldn't know where to start. While at other times I would stare at my cakes confused on what I should create. Yes decorating cakes can be fun but sometimes even stressful if you have too many ideas or no idea of where to start, which is why the first course I created was The Four Foundations to Create, and for a limited time i'm giving it away for FREE.

EVERYONE HAS TEMPORARY BLOCKS ⏳

Look around you, don't just see something and walk away. Take a moment to admire the endless inspiration within nature, even architecture, decor, notice its colour combination, its print, design, style and question yourself if you can merge what you see into a unique cake. You shouldn't only seek to be inspired by things around you, there is an abundance of creative you can find online with the photographic talent that exists even instagram or pinterest many posts on what you like E.g. nature - seasons, animals... architecture - city staples, monuments and so much more. Don't Just leave it there, try to figure out what gets you in a creative spin for adding your own touch to it because that will embody your unique fingerprints. This is also how others can start to get inspired by your design style, feel free to tag people who inspire you from the community, everyone can use a little bit of confidence every now and then, we are a healthy community that takes pleasure to give credit and promote others 🏆 🌎

FAILING TO PLAN IS PLANNING TO FAIL

Now that you know some of the different ways you can inspire yourself, make sure to write down all of your ideas and create multiple sketches of your cakes to see how your cake looks like on paper you can refer to examples of this on the ZIBAKERIZ Instagram Highlights "Sketch VS Reality". Although the design will change along the way with variations, keeping sketches allows you to make the process clearer in your head as it acts as a mental outline easing the entire process 😌
